On September 9, 2024, Jarett Hughes, Deputy Director of Policy and Research for the Office of Governor Jared Polis at the State of Colorado joined the CCA Advocacy Committee Meeting (ACM) to discuss updates on Colorado’s lifelong aging work. He covered important topics and updates on older workers, direct care workforce issues, long-term services and supports, funding for aging services, and more.
“Lifelong Colorado is not one singular thing. It really represents the entirety of aging initiatives at the state level, at the regional level and at the local level — the initiatives that are brought forward by advocacy organizations like yourselves, initiatives that are brought forward by the State or by local governments. All of those things exist in an ecosystem that we are trying to strive towards better adapting and better meeting the needs of older Coloradans.” – Jarett Hughes, Deputy Director of Policy and Research, Office of the Governor Jared Polis, State of Colorado
