Ahead of the 2026 election, Next50 worked with organizations across the aging ecosystem, including Colorado Center for Aging, to invite candidates for the Colorado General Assembly and Candidates running for federal offices to share their views on the issues that matter most to older adults in their districts. We asked about issues like caregiving, financial exploitation, Medicaid cuts, housing, and age discrimination.
Here’s candidates shared, broken out by the offices candidates are seeking:
- Colorado General Assembly Candidate Responses: For Candidates running for Colorado General Assembly, more than 70 candidates across the House and Senate responded. Their answers, organized by district, offer a direct look at where the people running to represent you stand on aging policy. Read the full compiled responses here.
- Federal Office Candidates: The few that were received for federal offices here.
- Statewide Office Candidate Videos: Additionally, all candidates running for statewide offices (Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer and Governor) were invited to record a short video on how, if elected, they would work to support older Coloradans.
