A group of organizations representing, serving, and advocating for older Coloradans came together to host a series of candidate forums in late September and early October for prospective state lawmakers.

The goal? To give Coloradans the opportunity to hear from potential lawmakers about their priorities as it relates to aging.

Over the course of September and October, there were five hour and a half long events throughout the state, in western Colorado; Denver metro east; Denver metro west; the southern front range and southeastern Colorado; and the northern front range and northeastern Colorado.

These same organizations developed and sent out a state legislature candidate questionnaire. The responses are meant to help Coloradans better understand the thoughts and priorities of candidates running for the Colorado House and Senate as it relates to aging. All candidates on the November 2024 ballot, with publicly available campaign contact information, were sent the survey.
