Grow your confidence navigating the Capitol | Learn the process by experiencing it firsthand
Join the Colorado Center for Aging (CCA) for a hands-on, guided learning experience at the State Capitol on March 24.
The CCA Learning in Action Day is designed to build on CCA’s Advocacy 101 training and provide members with a guided experience through the civic engagement process.
Participants will:
Meet with state legislators and/or their staff
Observe committee hearings in action and, through pre- and post-hearing discussion, learn what to watch for during hearings and have a chance to ask follow up questions to experienced advocates afterward
Navigate the Capitol and better understand the legislative process and even how the building is laid out
Engage in meaningful discussion with fellow members
Reflect and debrief on what we learn together
This is an educational, experiential opportunity to see policymaking up close and strengthen your confidence engaging in advocacy.
Who Should Attend:
CCA’s Learning in Action Day is ideal for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of the Colorado legislative process and build confidence engaging directly with policymakers.
Space is limited (15–30 participants)
Cost:
*FREE for current 2026 CCA members*
Individuals: Become a member for $50 and attend.
Organizations: Become a member for $500 and attend.
